I’ve always enjoyed IT, so it was a natural choice to study it.
I decided to study at RMIT because of the flexibility and the well-rounded subjects offered. The pathway into further study was also an enticing aspect.

Surprisingly, my favourite subject was Networking - an area I never thought I’d be interested in. The challenges I’ve worked through have been rather enjoyable.
We were taken on a tour of the Telstra Global Communications Centre, which helped us visually comprehend how our Networking subject was relevant to the industry today. It really helped pave a pathway in my mind as to what jobs I could strive for, especially as a woman in a male dominated industry.
For people considering this degree and have a passion for IT, I would definitely recommend it. Choose the best option for you - the associate degree is a valuable pathway into a job or a bachelor program, if you want to continue your studies.
My plan is to complete this program but in the meantime find a part-time job or internship relevant to what I’m studying.
My ideal job is one that allows me to help others and involves travel.
