Kelly chose to study environmental studies at RMIT because she wanted to succeed in the workforce.
Bachelor of Social Science (Environment)*
Urban Forester, City of Melbourne
I wanted to graduate from university with more than a piece of paper; I wanted the skills, knowledge and experience that would set me up for the workforce.
As part of my studies at RMIT, I took part in an international community development project, where my team designed a sustainable waste management system for Junbesi, a remote Nepalese community. This is just one example of the many projects and work placement opportunities I had throughout my program.
RMIT’s industry connections helped me build my network and gave me experience in my field before even finishing my degree.
There are so many interesting careers available to environment graduates. You can work for any organisation in any country as an environment professional, the sky is the limit.
