Our teaching areas

RMIT values diversity and offers flexible pathways to Vocational Education and Higher Education programs in Visual Art, Fine Art, Public Art and Arts Management.

We deliver our programs both internationally and via distance education, with undergraduate and postgraduate students studying across all of Australia and in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Vietnam.

Fine art

RMIT provides a hub for emerging artists, researchers and practitioners to cultivate contemporary art practice and gain exposure through local and international exhibitions.

Photography

Develop your own creative approach to photography through integrated industry training, practical experience and critical thinking.

Short and single courses

RMIT offers students an opportunity to undertake short and single courses in Fine Art Painting, Printmaking, Digital Photography and Public Art practice studios. Upon completion, you will gain nationally recognised units of competency that can count towards longer programs.
